Jaswant Khalsa is a contemporary American figurative painter.  She grew up traveling; Northeastern U.S., Japan, England, the west coast, and now living in the Southwestern U.S.  During 1978-2015, she made her home in Phoenix, AZ, where she was an Elementary Montessori teacher also maintaining a studio practice.  Khalsa works in acrylic paints and inks, primarily focusing on stylized female figures. From 2016-2020, her acrylic paintings on birch panels were exhibited at Light of the Soul Studio and Gallery in the hot springs town of Truth or Consequences, NM.  Then she moved south to Las Cruces, NM where she exhibits locally.  Since 2020, her stylistic images are mainly created and archived in several bound journals. They may be collected as archival giclee prints. She is married with grown children and also enjoys poetry, piano, tai chi, pickleball, human design, and foreign languages.
