My work centers on stylized figurative painting, with a particular focus on female figures and moments of quiet presence. Using acrylic, ink, and watercolor, I explore gesture, color, and compositional rhythm rather than literal representation inviting quiet enagement and reflection rather than narrative resolution.
The paintings emerge through a balance of intention and responsiveness, allowing materials to guide the image while maintaining structural coherence. I am interested in openness rather than resolution—images that feel complete yet remain suggestive, inviting reflection and emotional resonance.
After a long parallel career outside the arts, I’ve sustained a studio practice for many years. My work has been shown in juried and group exhibitions reflecting my ongoing commitment to painting as a contemplative, evolving practice.
